InnoLight GmbH and Lumanova GmbH (both of Hannover, Germany) herewith announce their merger, effective from April 1st, 2009. This merger represents the foundation of a premier laser manufacturer of dioded-pumped, solid-state lasers (DPSSL).

InnoLight was founded in 1997, and designs, develops, and manufactures ultra-stable, single-frequency lasers and laser systems for a variety of commercial and industrial markets, such as gravity wave detection, basic research, and aerospace and OEM applications.

Lumanova, established in 2004, develops and produces diode-pumped, solid-state lasers.

One of its core competencies, apart from compact DPSSL technology, is innovative packaging solutions for its high performance lasers. New miniaturized platforms and designs are outstanding technologies to provide improved, more valuable and less expensive lasers.

The merger of both companies under the name of InnoLight will create synergy that is expected to have a significant, positive technical and financial impact on the partnership, much faster than either of the companies could accomplish on a stand-alone basis. Both companies have strong technology platforms in DPSS lasers, and excellent engineering teams, allowing us to be even more innovative and to expand in both existing and new growth areas.
